I help students 14 years and older who are overwhelmed
and often don't know where to begin.
I begin with a place of genuine curiosity and listen to folks explain how they are struggling. I customize a strategy that builds on their strengths so they can learn more easily and deeply. I teach students how to build their thinking, research, and organization skills to tackle the complex assignments they face. And I help them understand that they can use their skills to think with more complexity
and learn successfully.
I am a former high school teacher and teacher of teachers. I have a doctorate in Teaching and Learning from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where my research focused on how we learn at every age, and what skills we need to build for success. I help students 14 years and older, including college and graduate students, in person and via teleconference.
I have spent more than 30 years in education, and I'm committed to helping students overcome struggles and challenges in learning. My goal is for students to find direction, take constructive action, and prosper.
